Coronavirus infection will go down in summer and return in winter - scientists
Swedish scientists have developed a mathematical model for the spread of COVID-19 infection, which is expected to decline in summer, but by winter the infection can produce an outbreak of new infections. This is reported by Swiss Medical Weekly. Researchers at the Karolinska Institute built their calculations on seasonal fluctuations of the other four coronaviruses causing respiratory diseases. Scientists believe that the likely decline in morbidity in summer should not calm society. The health care system, having received a respite, will have to prepare for a new wave of infection in autumn-winter.
