Indonesian Embassy in Thailand helped compatriots return home
Indonesia's embassy in Bangkok helped 356 Indonesian citizens in Thailand return home, Sindonews reported. The Indonesian Embassy coordinated with relevant parties, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Garuda Indonesia, to facilitate the return of Indonesian nationals. Garuda Indonesia flights are under special permission from the Government of Thailand and are scheduled for 20 and 23 April 2020. There are currently about 3,000 Indonesian citizens living in Thailand. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok made various efforts to provide protection and service to Indonesian citizens, including online services and improved communication with Indonesian citizens. According to the news agency, earlier at the Embassy of Indonesia in Moscow told about the state of health of Indonesian citizens living in Russia.
