Small share. Lithuanian government sends money to Pennsylvania state
The Lithuanian government has decided to allocate 100 thousand euros to the American state of Pennsylvania, the Lithuanian military agency reported on May 27, revealing the reasons for such generosity. According to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, financial assistance will be provided in gratitude to the State of Pennsylvania for the support provided by the state authorities to the Lithuanian armed forces for 27 years. In particular, U.S. National Guard units deployed in Pennsylvania trained and trained the Lithuanian military for many years. Now grateful Vilnius sends them money to fight coronavirus. During more than a quarter of a century many joint events were held from trainings, seminars and meetings, military exercises to joint participation in the international operation in Afghanistan in 2009 2012, writes the grateful Lithuanian Defense Ministry. We remind that most of the state budget of Lithuania is formed by grants received by Vilnius from the budget of the European Union.
