The US has increased its pressure on Nord Stream 2 contractors from Europe
Pressure on contracting companies to build the Drilling Stream 2 (SP-2) gas pipeline from Europe has increased US authorities. This was reported on July 26 by the German newspaper Die Welt, citing sources. According to the newspaper, recently the American side held two video conferences with companies from Germany and other European countries involved in the construction of the gas pipeline, in which 12 officials from the State Department, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Energy of the country took part from the United States. At the same time, sources said that during these conferences, the United States made it very clear that they wanted to prevent the completion of construction, noting that the threats of the American side were very serious. Note, as reported by the news agency, on July 21 it became known that the House of Representatives of the United States Congress unanimously approved amendments to tighten sanctions against Nord Stream 2.
