President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for an open dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated this on August 25 in an interview with Euronews. I am not afraid of a direct dialogue with the President of Russia. I think this is right, said the Ukrainian leader. According to him, such a dialogue will allow the parties to get closer to ending the war in the Donbass, and it is necessary regardless of how different people or different regions react to this. Zelensky recalled that he spoke with Putin before the armistice entered into force on July 27, 2020. Then the two leaders discussed compliance with the ceasefire, and, according to the President of Ukraine, received a visible result.
