Trump Imposes Ban on Chinese Airline Flights to the United States
US President Donald Trump's administration has decided to ban all Chinese airlines from commercial passenger transport between the United States and China. The U.S. Department of Transportation issued the order on June 3. The order says that the ban will enter into force on June 16, but this may happen earlier if US President Donald Trump decides. Sanctions concern several Chinese airlines: Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The White House explains this decision by the fact that the Chinese authorities did not grant American air carriers permission to fully exercise their bilateral right to carry out regular passenger flights to and from the PRC.
